The hotel boasts a breathtaking panoramic view, inviting you to explore slowly. Consigned in 1940 by Rogério Azevedo, the Pousada de São Lourenço was reborn in 2018 with a new vision focused on the beauty of the landscape, designed by Site Specific Arquitetura.
The Portuguese Design
Casa de São Lourenço takes us on a journey of discovery through Portuguese design, showcasing its decorative elements and environments created by P06 and pieces by Marco Sousa Santos, Bartolomeu Gusmão, Manuel Netto, Vicara, Bordallo Pinheiro, Hedmar, Cutipol, Almalaguês, Cestaria Gonçalo, Olaria de Molelos, Grestel and Burel Factory. Unique and representative pieces of Portugal that give meaning to every space, detail and moment.
The identity of Interiors
Maria Keil possessed a magical touch and a gaze that transformed into images. In the 1940s, she conceived and designed the interiors of the Pousada de São Lourenço: the furniture, the details, all the graphic symbolism. With a rare modernity, yet always faithful to her roots, she knew how to blend the sobriety of the rural world – shepherding, folklore, everyday gestures – with a new aesthetic language. Seventy years later, a space was born where tradition is refined, takes on a contemporary form, and becomes visible poetry on the walls, in the lines, and in the objects through the P06 project.
