Burel Mountains Hotels
Burel Mountain Hotels showcases one of the Portuguese regions with the greatest tourism potential: the Serra da Estrela Natural Park and its connection to wool and burel.
It all began with our first hotel, Casa das Penhas Douradas – Burel Expedition Hotel, which sought an expeditionary relationship with the region, with exploration proposals contextualized by the Scientific Expedition to Serra da Estrela, organized by the Sociedade de Geografia de Lisboa in 1881.
In 2018, we opened our second hotel, also a home: Casa de São Lourenço – Burel Panorama Hotel, a rebirth of the former Pousada de São Loureço. A panoramic hotel overlooking the Zêzere Glacier Valley, its burel and design invite quiet contemplation and admiring the landscape.
Burel Mountain Hotels is more than a project; it's a lifestyle connected to the mountains, their culture, and their people. A true tourism experience in Serra da Estrela.
Casa de São Lourenço
Casa de São Lourenço takes us on a discovery of Portuguese design through its decorative elements, continuing the story begun by Portuguese artist Maria Keil 70 years ago.
