Our continued commitment to promoting the region and its culture makes it imperative to encourage its long-term economic and social development, ensuring its sustainability, generating jobs, and attracting skilled labor to foster local and social development. Specifically: we employ and train locals. We encourage licensed locals to return to their land and promote their continued employment. We promote the prevention of desertification in the municipality of Manteigas. We support small producers and local artisans who supply businesses in all areas, and small landowners who house many of our employees. Several employees have started families. And more babies are being born in Manteigas. We believe that true sustainability is measured by these indicators.
It is through our continued commitment to the community through ongoing training, incentives for skilled work, education, and the transmission of knowledge between generations that we contribute to the economic and social sustainability of one of the most isolated regions in the country, making it richer, more diverse, and more pluralistic, and ensuring the provision of various services that all focus on the appreciation and discovery of Serra da Estrela, with tourism proposals of added value and a change in sociocultural paradigm, which guarantee good prospects for the future.
